"For Faerie, Queen, And Country" (4 episodes)

Browsing through the TARDIS databanks, Stan notices a headline from the London Times circa 1890 that catches his eye : "Goblins Terrorize Corbett Manor". The article tells of goblin and faerie sightings in and around Corbett Manor, a hotel. Stan decides to investigate. Upon arrival, Stan and his companions are mistaken for the team hired to deal with the problem. Mr. Timmons tells Stan about the sightings and asks him to discover the source of the hoax. The group eventually finds clues and spots some of the small, greyish 'goblins' as well as an animatronic puppet. The goblins have been entering the hotel via mouse holes, and it is discovered that they have also been using the old sewer system. At the same time, Natasha has been invited to dinner by the ecentric Mr. Lot. Lot has moved into an old haunted estate at the edge of the city. Stan accompanies Natasha on the dinner date, while Ernest and Roman search the sewers. Lot tells Stan and Natasha about his ancestor, Elsie Tannenbaum, who was murdered one-hundred years ago to the very hour. It becomes evident that Mr. Lot wishes Natasha to stay, but that he wants Stan to leave. When Stan argues, he is ushered out and Natasha is abducted. Ernest and Roman arrive and Stan joins them in searching for Natasha. A secret door is found which leads to an upstairs room. Lot is apprehended before he can harm Natasha. The group tries to leave with Lot, but are confronted in the main foyer by an apparition of Elsie Tannenbaum and her puppet. Elsie explains that Natasha has the same rare body print as Elsie, and Elsie wishes to take her body so that she may live again. Goblins, which have since proven to be primitive aliens from a backwater planet, appear and attack. The group escapes as the house catches fire. Mr. Lot escapes. The whole deal is put down as a hoax in the media and by the police. Back in the TARDIS, the group is attacked by the horribly burned puppet. They eventually dismantle the creature.
