Stan, Natasha, and the Fifth Stan head outside to discover where the TARDIS
has crash landed and why. They soon realize they've been locked out of the
TARDIS. They are now standed in a land made of badly coloured cardboard cut-outs.
There they meet Bookmark, a robot Stan is aquainted with. Stan met Bookmark
in his fifth persona when he helped the people of Parvellous create a bio
computer that could house all their literature. Parvellans were known throughout
the universe as great storytellers. Bookmark explains that the containment
field collapsed and the computer overflowed. The stories took on lives of
their own and covered all of Parvellous. Bookmark has been looking for access
to the central computer so he can shut down the programs. The two Stans agree
to help him. They leave Cardboard Land and arrive at the Crystal Palace. They
witness various sections of various stories before being whisked away in a
spaceship. The captain of the ship is a man called Villain. Villain agrees
to help the group get inside the TARDIS and shut down the computer if they
agree to take him off Parvellous. They agree. Once at the main computer, the
Fifth Stan is able to shut it off and the stories begin to fade. Stan takes
Villain offworld and drops him off on an uninhabited asteroid, and returns
to discover the Parvellans have no memory of his being there recently, and
there is no sign of the Fifth Stan. They also tell Stan that there has been
no trouble with the computer at all, except for the fact that every villain
from every story has somehow been erased from the main computer.
